The Work:
Serve as a senior advisor and subject matter authority to utility executives on Grid Operations modernization, DER integration, and real-time control strategies
Lead and shape large-scale ADMS / DERMS / EMS / SCADA transformation programs, from vision and roadmap through implementation and operationalization
Define and evangelize future-state Grid Ops operating models, including control room evolution, DER orchestration, flexibility management, and distribution system visibility
Collaborate across Accenture’s ecosystem — including industry, technology, and functional teams — to bring the best of Accenture to every client conversation, and design integrated, cross-functional solutions that address clients’ most pressing priorities
Develop and mentor consulting teams, ensuring the next generation of leaders builds both client trust and consulting expertise
Work with Accenture leadership to set the strategic direction for our Utilities T&D practice, influencing practice growth, capability development, and market positioning
Drive adoption of advanced analytics, AI, automation, and digital twins to improve situational awareness, outage response, forecasting, and operational decision-making
Act as a Thought Leader and/or Expert by developing industry POVs, white papers, solution architectures, and proprietary assets related to Grid Ops and DERMS
Influence Accenture’s go-to-market strategy for Grid Operations, including shaping offerings, alliances, and ecosystem partnerships
Build and maintain trusted executive relationships with utility leadership, regulators, and industry bodies
Support business development by shaping pursuits, advising on complex sales, and serving as a credible expert in client conversations
Mentor senior leaders, managers, and consultants—building deep Grid Ops and DERMS capability across the practice
Partner closely with Technology, Industry X, and Operations to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions
What you need:

At least 10 years of experience in the electric utilities industry with deep focus on Grid Operations, and recognized as a thought leader or expert in your field

At least 6 years of experience working for a consulting organization

Demonstrated success in C-suite engagement—acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives and helping shape strategic direction at both the corporate and functional levels

Extensive hands-on and advisory experience with ADMS, DERMS, EMS, and/or SCADA platforms

Proven leadership in large-scale grid modernization and DER integration programs

Deep understanding of utility operating models, control room functions, and real-time decisioning

Strong technology acumen with understanding of how core digital platforms and advanced digital / AI solutions drive value.

Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or related field preferred), or equivalent work experience

Strong systems thinking across grid operations, technology, and business outcomes

Ability to operate in ambiguity and define the “art of the possible” for clients and teams

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
