The challenge

As 3D creation becomes central to industries like fashion, CPG, automotive, and product design, Adobe is committed to delivering next-generation tools that empower creators and businesses alike. The Senior Technical 3D Artist will play a key role in bridging customer needs with product innovation, working directly with strategic partners to implement scalable workflows, influence product direction, and champion new technologies like Substance Automation.

We seek a hands-on designer with a strategic approach, strong technical skills, and the ability to tell stories through design. In this position, you will operate at the intersection of customer enablement, creative experimentation, and product insight, helping Adobe craft the future of 3D.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic partners and key customers; establishing standard processes, driving adoption of Substance 3D, addressing technical issues and workflow questions, and collecting product feedback.
  • Expand usage of Adobe’s 3D tool portfolio through custom trainings, workshops, and events.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Product Owners, Managers, Developers, Designers) to help shape features, define use cases, and integrate real-world partner feedback.
  • Create inspirational workflow content including demo videos, renders, and assets for internal reviews, executive meetings, marketing, and events.
  • Partner with internal and external creatives to prototype workflows, test features, and showcase new technologies.
  • Support Corporate and Enterprise customers in the adoption and deployment of Substance Automation (SAWS).

What You Need to Succeed

  • Highly skilled in Adobe Substance 3D tools (Painter, Designer, Sampler, Stager, Viewer).
  • Proficiency with top DCC software (e.g., 3DS Max, Maya, Blender) or product design tools (Alias, Rhino, Solidworks, Keyshot) and/or apparel (Clo/Marvelous Designer, Browzwear) and/or footwear (Modo, Rhino).
  • Experience scripting in Python to automate 3D workflows, develop tools, or streamline production pipelines.
  • Familiarity with design pipelines across various industries.
  • Autonomous and proactive with strong initiative.
  • Fast learner. Able to quickly adapt to new 3D technologies and workflows.
  • Engaging teacher and communicator, capable of developing custom training materials and delivering them clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; able to diplomatically navigate between collaborators and align teams toward common goals.
  • A passion for enabling creative excellence through technology.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Education - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Design, Apparel, or Footwear;
  • 5+ years of professional 3D design experience; 7+ years preferred.
  • Fluency in English required
  • Demonstrated experience using Python in a 3D production or design environment.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Portfolio required with application, showcasing relevant 3D and/or automation work.
