Job Title: Business Consultant / Product Owner – Content & Commerce [P40]

Location: San Jose or New York City

Reports To: Manager, Professional Services – Content & Commerce

Opportunity Overview

The Business Consultant leads clients through digital experience and commerce transformation with Adobe’s Content and Commerce solutions. This role delivers consulting services, drives requirements gathering, prioritizes business needs, and supports solution design to maximize Adobe capabilities for scalable and efficient customer experiences.

Specializing in Content & Commerce, the team leverages expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Commerce to build robust content management and commerce platforms that enable clients’ strategic goals.

Success requires a background in enterprise-level digital projects, independent initiatives, and effective communication across technical and non-technical teams. The consultant leads cross-functional projects, aligning strategy and outcomes with stakeholders.

What You'll Do

· Lead strategy and roadmap activities, facilitating workshops to define goals and requirements.

· Advise clients on content management, digital delivery, and commerce solutions and best practices.

· Promote Adobe methodologies and frameworks during engagements.

· Serve as a Product Owner or Proxy, translate user requirements into actionable backlogs following Agile/Scrum best practices. Collaborate with team in prioritization, sprint planning, and execution.

· Drive acceptance of deliverables through validation, demo, and triage/resolve discrepancies.

· Maintain documentation, user stories, and use cases aligned with Adobe standards.

· Maintain alignment among key stakeholders. Coordinate business and technical teams to ensure effective communication and timely clarification of

· Guide user journey optimization and omnichannel strategies.

What You'll Need to Succeed

· 10+ years in digital commerce, content management, or consulting.

· 3+ years with Adobe Commerce and AEM.

· Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Experience leading distributed teams.

· Track record of success as Consultant, Product Owner/Manager, or Solutions Architect.

· Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, APIs, SaaS, Cloud Services.

· Proficient in HTML/CSS and JavaScript.

· Skilled in business and technical requirement analysis.

· Collaborative experience with marketing, technology, and operations.

· AEM or Adobe Commerce certifications are a plus.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $134,400 -- $245,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
