The Opportunity
Adobe’s Global Payments and Billing business function is recruiting a Payments professional to drive our payment partnerships strategy to the next level. As a leader with vision in the CNP space, you will focus on optimizing approval rates across multiple geographies and products. Internally, you will collaborate with Product and Operational teams to ensure critical monitoring supports immediate identification and restoration of issues impacting our customers and business. Externally, you will partner with acquirers, issuers and other payment providers to support our vision for a “best in class” payments function. With many opportunities in front you, this role requires “big picture” thinking to prioritize high value opportunities and develop innovative ways to solving problems in the payments space.
What you'll do
Manage Adobe’s major global acquiring and payment orchestration partnerships including commercial negotiations, performance governance, and strategic roadmap alignment to drive outstanding authorization rates and cost efficiency.
Maintain deep, current knowledge of the evolving payments landscape. This includes emerging orchestration platforms, real-time payment rails, open banking, and alternative payment methods. Proactively identify partnership opportunities that advance Adobe’s worldwide payments innovation agenda.
From a business development perspective, forge new and enhance existing strategic relationships with card networks, acquirers, and alternative payment providers. Coordinate commercial terms and business relationships to drive value for Adobe.
Partner with various internal groups including Product, Treasury, Payment Operations, Risk, Go-to-Market and Regional Business teams to derive actionable insights to drive acquisition, retention and operational cost save metrics.
Define, own, and continuously improve the core benchmarks that guide global acquiring performance. Use data analysis to find ways to optimize and build strong arguments for executive partners.
Drive cross-functional alignment on payments product priorities by synthesizing partner capabilities, market trends, and internal analytics into clear, actionable recommendations that bridge the gap between technical payment infrastructure and customer-facing product experiences.
Define, own and drive the core metrics enabling global payments success
What you need to succeed
7+ years of payments experience with direct, hands-on exposure to global acquiring relationships, payment orchestration platforms and card network partnerships. Prior experience managing commercial negotiations with major acquirers, networks, issuers and other PSPs or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to operate at the intersection of partnership and payments product management—comfortable shaping product requirements with engineering teams one day and leading commercial discussions with a global acquirer the next.
A deep, current understanding of the global payments ecosystem—including acquiring and orchestration infrastructure, Card Not Present and recur billing dynamics, tokenization, network mandates, and the competitive landscape of emerging payment providers and fintechs.
Genuine intellectual curiosity and a drive to stay ahead of industry innovation—you actively track emerging players, new payment modalities, and regulatory shifts, and you bring those insights back to shape Adobe’s provider strategy.
Strong analytical foundation with experience working in data-driven organizations; proficiency in SAS or equivalent analytical tools is strongly preferred.
Comfortable using performance data to identify authorization improvement opportunities, build arguments, and influence partner and product roadmap decisions.
Ability to lead through influence and to drive opportunities through a matrixed, consensus driven organization - across Product, Finance, Treasury, Marketing, Risk, Payment Operations, Go-To-Market and Regional teams.
A strong candidate will be Self-motivated, autonomous and view ambiguity as an opportunity to innovate.
Able to translate complex topics into executive level communications that clearly communicate payment concepts in a way that is easy for others to understand.
BA/BS or equivalent experience required, MBA a plus.

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $125,800 -- $239,725 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In New York, the pay range for this position is $165,600 - $239,725

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
