The Global Account Director Leader role will manage the relationship with one of the most important Global Media, Entertainment, Games, and Sports companies and oversee an internationally dispersed AWS team made up of both sales and technical resource direct and indirect reports, inclusive of dedicated Sales Managers, Global Account Managers, Global Account Reps, Solution Architects, Customer Solution Managers, and Technical Account Managers who work collectively as a ‘team of teams’ operating as one in support of progressing the customer’s cloud journey aligned to business outcomes. Global Account Director Leader role will be expected to coordinate and often lead pan-Amazon initiatives across multiple touch-points important to the Customer.

Key job responsibilities
• Drive strong revenue growth for AWS within the customer across all AWS services with an emphasis on TAS acquisition and expansion through Media and Entertainment specific use cases.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan for the team.
• Drive increased AWS Service adoption and migration of applications to AWS.
• Drive engagements at the CxO level and with Line of Business Leaders across complex organizations globally.
• Engage AWS and Amazon executives to foster key customer relationships.
• Understand and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services within the enterprise and specific to Media and Entertainment to accelerate customer adoption.
• Be a people leader who develops and inspires a world-class sales team that engages the major business units, is incredibly customer-focused, partners strongly with internal AWS teams, and consistently hits objectives.
• Work with partners (System Integration Partners, Channel Partners, Independent Software Vendors) to extend reach & drive adoption.
• Prepare and deliver business reviews to the AWS senior leadership team weekly/monthly/annually.
• Data driven understanding of business dynamics within the customer and how the correlation to AWS Usage.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of experience leading sales teams working with large global customers.
• 10+ years of experience in managing multi-national global customers as lead Account and Relationship Manager.
• BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field. (MBA preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in hiring a global team.
• Media and Entertainment domain expertise having sold to, worked with, or been part of the industry.
• Experience setting and executing a strategy for a federated enterprise working with multiple business units.
• A strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $224,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $333,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
