North America Stores Marketing is on a mission to make Amazon the most-loved shopping destination for customers. We aspire to meet customers where they are with a steady drumbeat of inspiring, relevant, and automated content that builds upon recent shopping missions while also introducing them to new and timely ideas. We do this by combining technology, science, innovation, marketing, and creativity to build new customer-facing features and experiences alongside cutting-edge tools for marketers. We are looking for creative, customer-obsessed, curious, and highly entrepreneurial leaders to join our team.

The ideal candidate has a strong visual design background, is self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity. As a Design Director, you have strong organizational skills, web expertise, intrinsic design ability, and typographic skills. You will play a significant role in engaging customers and creating a best-in-class customer experience via digital store design and digital marketing initiatives. This role provides a great opportunity to make an outsized impact by collaborating closely with talented marketing, business, and tech leaders to unlock cross-category discovery.


Key job responsibilities
• Maintain the highest design standards and inform the work with data wherever possible.

• Produce graphic standards, templates, layouts, guidelines and design graphics

• Lead designers in the completion of projects as necessary, providing clear direction and constructive feedback

• Exceptionally skilled at image curation, visual storytelling, typography, layout, form and color

• Work from creative briefs alongside key stakeholders to develop executions for digital marketing activities.

• Identify opportunities to incorporate emerging design trends and digital innovations into creative and marketing strategies.

• Present concepts and produced work to stakeholders and internal customers, including senior management, in person and via video/phone.

• Quickly turn around detailed comps/mockups in an iterative environment.

• Work cross-team, lead the design process, and synthesize feedback and input from stakeholders.

• Work closely with operations teams to scope projects and forecast resourcing needs to build production capacity, communicating needs and trade-offs when appropriate
