The Ads Security organization at Amazon is dedicated to creating innovative technical solutions that detect, assess, and mitigate security risks within Amazon's Advertising businesses. Our vision is to accelerate the development velocity of the Advertising business by ensuring that our products are inherently secure. We are seeking a talented Principal Technical Program Manager to join our team, where they will develop scalable software programs to secure Amazon's ads business and provide program visibility to executives and senior leadership on the security state of the business. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that safeguards one of the largest advertising platforms globally, with a direct impact on Amazon's $50 billion Ads business by building systems that are secure, scalable, and low-latency.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on security expert who thrives in the face of ambiguity and has a proven track record of delivering high-impact cross-functional security goals. In this role, they will establish and lead ongoing projects and programs focused on proactive protection of customer products and services, identifying and mitigating threats, translating customer needs into technical requirements, maintaining compliance with global regulatory and legal regimes, and preventing malicious or fraudulent behavior. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, and experience running large-scale security programs. This is a highly visible role responsible for providing regular security updates to senior leadership and executives on the state of security of the Ads business.

Key job responsibilities
- Identify functional and technical security requirements by partnering with product, engineering and other Amazon internal security teams
- Analyze the security of Ads applications and services to identify security risks and mitigations, and quickly react to new threat scenarios
- Work closely with security and software engineers to build secure solutions that meet customer needs
- Create controls and mechanisms to drive adoption and iterative improvement of security capabilities throughout Ads' technology and infrastructure
- Drive execution and maintain alignment through creating program management structure and engagement with engineers, leaders and executives
