Millions of customers—including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies—are using AWS to lower costs, become more agile, and innovate faster.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Event Marketing Manager to join our Global Events Team (GET) to lead the AWS Americas Summits Expo program. These strategic regional events unite the cloud computing community, drawing technical professionals and business leaders from across commercial and public sector industries.

As Senior Event Marketing Manager for Americas Summits, you'll drive the Expo experience strategy, planning, and execution. You'll design innovative expo environments that educate customers, engage AWS partners, and deliver measurable business results. Success requires strategic vision, strong project management skills, and the ability to influence global stakeholders.

The ideal candidate combines creative and analytical thinking with proven expertise in both strategy and execution. You'll need strong leadership capabilities and the ability to influence without authority, building effective relationships with agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders. We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, excels at problem-solving, and consistently delivers results in fast-paced environments.

Success in this role requires thinking globally while acting locally, understanding diverse market needs and cultural nuances throughout the Americas region. The candidate must bring deep expertise in exhibition management, space optimization, and project management. They will be responsible for managing substantial budgets while maintaining high standards for exhibitor and attendee experiences. The successful candidate will also bring a customer-obsessed mindset, constantly seeking ways to enhance exhibition experiences and drive meaningful business outcomes through innovative expo design and execution.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end strategy and execution of AWS Americas Summits Expo, delivering impactful exhibitor experiences that drive customer education and business growth
• Partner with global cross-functional teams to build comprehensive roadmaps for workstream strategies, timelines, and expectations
• Design innovative expo floor layouts and interactive elements showcasing cloud innovation
• Align multiple stakeholders on program objectives through strategic relationship building and effective communication
• Develop scalable frameworks to standardize expo execution and enable program expansion
• Establish and track KPIs, analyzing data to drive continuous improvement and optimize future programs
• Implement risk management and contingency plans for large-scale expo experiences
• Navigate ambiguity with clear decision-making while maintaining program momentum
• Mentor workstream leads and build trusted relationships across all organizational levels
• Deliver creative approaches to improve customer experience at events
• Travel up to 40% of the time
