About the Role

The Twitch Ads team oversees a sophisticated advertising ecosystem that carefully balances revenue generation with user satisfaction. We deliver promotional content across multiple channels while maintaining a seamless experience for both viewers and creators. Our team is responsible for critical ad services and integrates with Amazon's extensive advertising infrastructure. These technical implementations drive essential business operations while preserving the unique viewer-creator relationship that sets Twitch apart.

In this role, you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager of the Ads Team and work closely with engineers from both the Twitch and Amazon Ads organizations. Your primary focus will be on developing products and features that unlock exciting new advertising functionalities and opportunities.

This position is based in New York City.

Key job responsibilities
You Will

- Work with product managers, technical leads, and other engineers to design, develop, launch, and operate interactive experiences
- Build distributed applications at scale
- Collaborate with both your team and related teams - fostering shared understanding of how to solve common problems and deliver solutions

Work backwards from customer problems to drive business impact

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
