Amazon Advertising is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for brand advertisers, agencies, authors, and entrepreneurs. Our ad solutions—including sponsored, display, video, and custom ads—leverage Amazon’s innovations and insights to find, attract, and engage intended audiences throughout their daily journeys. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service, managed service, and programmatic ad buying, these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, increase product sales, and more.

Solutions Architects within the Solutions Integrations team under the Amazon Ads org is primarily an individual contributor, non-engineering, technical role. The core function of this role is to identify opportunities to improve the products, processes, policies and systems that allow Amazon Ads to deliver open internet inventory to advertiser customers. This includes identifying opportunities to close gaps in existing features, implementing processes to improve existing ones, and drafting proposals to initiate the development of net new products. The role will also support the investigation and resolution of high impact events in addition to chronic, complex and/or novel issues that negatively impact the health or value of our third-party supply integrations.

The Solutions Architect (SA) role requires an in-depth understanding of programmatic Ad Tech companies and Open RTB protocol and IAB standards. The SA is expected to understand how our bidding systems interact with Open Internet Supply, end to end. The SA role frequently requires close collaboration with internal and external partner teams' engineering and product stakeholders. Their job is to see solutions implemented in alignment with open internet supply standards and protocols.

The SA will also act as a technical consultant with open internet suppliers to ensure that new features and supply policies developed by Amazon Demand Tech are implemented consistently and correctly across all applicable 3P suppliers. The SA will drive assessments of unique supplier offerings and when merited support development initiatives that would unlock net new value for advertiser customers through these solutions. The SA will similarly support business critical functions that are unique to our largest supply partners, while looking for opportunities to drive them towards standardization.

The SA role is an independent contributor position, who has the technical acumen to build and assist partners with building difficult and novel solutions.

The SA acts as an operational leader and owns the operational health for many RTB exchange partnerships globally to enable Amazon’s advertiser customers to realize the efficiency and transparency of programmatic advertising at scale. The role has the opportunity to influence the way Amazon Advertising manages ad campaigns across hundreds of thousands of web sites, mobile apps and Streaming TV content around the world, in support of a wide range of fast-growing advertising programs.
