The Prime Video Advertising team is at the forefront of revolutionizing the streaming advertising landscape. Our mission is to deliver ad tech solutions that power Prime Video's rapidly growing advertising business. We focus on a wide range of critical areas including ad ingestion, ad delivery, client-side ad experiences, machine learning-driven optimization, ad tracking, and audience measurement. We’re responsible for advertising across video-on-demand (VOD), live streaming, and display ads on Prime Video, delivering value to both advertisers and viewers worldwide.


As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You’ll get to work on projects that are fast-paced, challenging, and varied. As a Software Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of streaming advertising technology.

Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities include:

* You will join and lead a team of passionate engineers, software leaders and product owners who innovate and develop new ways to search for video content across Prime Video's expanding catalog.
* In this new organization that's experiencing rapid growth, you'll be responsible for elevating our existing systems, driving architectural decisions, and defining new services that will power our next phase of growth.
* Your expertise will be crucial in scaling our systems, and architecting solutions that will support our ambitious growth targets while maintaining a delightful customer experience.
* You will lead projects that develop scalable, tier-1, AWS-based software platforms that operate a multi billion dollar business.
* Finally, you will partner with senior leaders across the org in developing a strategic vision for Prime Video, while also mentoring and developing a team of enthusiastic engineers.
* This role reports into a Senior Manager, and has direct exposure to Directors and VPs.

A day in the life
You will lead a "two-pizza" teams crafting delightful advertising experience for our partners and customers. Your day will involve leading the development of scalable software to power ad formats and experiences to millions of customers. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists and applied scientists.
