Description
We seek a senior specialist to develop critical insights, analytics, and innovation that are unique to sports and accelerate Amazon’s monetization of live sports rights. He/she will be an expert in identifying and contextualizing data in the advertising and sports marketing industries, with a strong track record of working with customers and internal stakeholders to develop new or enhanced analytics that drive business growth.
Reporting directly to the US Head of Sports Sales Strategy, this is an exciting opportunity to innovate in the sports media industry as part of the Live Sports Sales team.
Key job responsibilities
• Own the development of marketplace analytics inclusive of supply/demand trends, marketplace spending, viewership trends, asset monetization, competitive shifts, and bid modeling for new or changing sports rights
• Own the development, positioning, and adoption of new proprietary sponsorship measurement products that better track, quantify and optimize brand activation, including customer sell-through and management of reporting
• Work with agency and advertising customers to understand their needs and gaps in terms of sponsorship and media performance, with the goal of identifying new opportunities to differentiate our sports offering and drive revenue
• Partner with Product and Pricing & Planning leads to build dynamic modeling, forecasting, tracking, and asset management solutions that enhance our ability to monitor captured revenue and identify growth opportunities
• Partner with Measurement and Marketing teams to develop and scale customer-facing insights that support our sports rights and partnership opportunities, ensuring customer feedback is being tracked and implemented
• Partner with Measurement and Finance teams to evaluate the revenue impact and potential customer adoption with shifts to currency measurement (1P and 3P)
• Obtain critical customer and Sales team feedback as we partner with Product teams to develop ad-tech innovations that drive demand and revenue growth
• Conduct market research with customers, competitors, and third-party partners to maintain a strong grasp of the marketing analytics landscape and identify emerging trends, innovations, and opportunities
• Host and own internal mechanisms with relevant Amazon stakeholders needed to deliver out on the business
• Create strategic frameworks and recommendation documents to guide product development priorities and resource allocation
