Description

Want to help protect AWS from emerging fraud vectors and make a direct multi-million-dollar impact to Amazon's bottom line? Come join the AWS Payments & Fraud Prevention team as a Senior Product Manager - External Services, you will own fraud prevention strategy for AWS customer signup and AI services.

We are seeking a product leader who will be the single-threaded owner for two of the fast evolving fraud domains in AWS — account signup abuse and AI services fraud. You will balance two critical objectives: making legitimate customer onboarding as frictionless as possible while blocking bad actors who want to commit fraud or abuse our free tier offerings at scale. Simultaneously, you will build a comprehensive strategy and implement durable mechanisms to protect AWS AI services like Bedrock and Kiro from fraudulent activity. The ideal candidate combines strong fraud or security domain knowledge with product management expertise and a proven track record of delivering products at scale.

Key job responsibilities
AWS Account Signup Fraud Prevention
Own end-to-end fraud prevention strategy for AWS account signup. Define how risk signals are evaluated and acted upon to block fraudulent accounts before they gain access to AWS services. Drive protection against bot-driven free tier abuse, partnering with data science and engineering to continuously improve detection accuracy and reduce fraudulent activity at the point of registration.

AI Services Fraud Prevention
Define end-to-end fraud prevention product strategy for AI services. Build policy frameworks and mitigation mechanisms that create durable protection and mitigate AI services fraud.

Product Strategy & Iteration
Drive product evolution through data-driven decision making. Synthesize quantitative performance metrics — fraud rates, false positive rates, and enforcement accuracy — with qualitative feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities. Define product roadmaps that balance fraud prevention effectiveness with customer experience.

Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Identity, AWS service teams, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Science to drive decision making. Influence without authority across engineering, science, and product organizations. Represent account
signup and AI services fraud prevention efforts in executive-level reviews.
