Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Solutions Architect with a specialized background in broadcast and streaming to join our Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports (MEGS) team. You'll work at the intersection of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the most exciting transformation in media history: the global shift from traditional broadcast to intelligent, multi-platform streaming experiences reaching viewers everywhere. This position could require travel up to 25% (including international travel for industry events and customer engagements). The future of video is being rewritten, and you'll be the architect behind it.

Key job responsibilities
Customer Engagement: Work backward from the customer to drive adoption of AWS services for media and entertainment workloads, with specific focus on broadcast and streaming use cases

Technical Leadership: Understand and anticipate business needs of multiple customers, accelerating their ability to innovate by building working prototypes and industry-specific solutions

Architecture & Design: Run technical workshops and advise customers on architectural decisions for cloud-based media solutions

Best Practices: Educate customers to ensure their solutions follow AWS best practices for scalability, availability, security, and operational excellence in media environments

Thought Leadership: Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, tutorials, and blog posts focused on media technology

External Communication: Participate in industry conferences and events, sharing knowledge with the broader AWS solutions architect community and media industry

Product Feedback: Drive customer requirements alignment with AWS service teams' roadmaps, acting as the voice of media and entertainment customers

A day in the life
Your days blend technical depth with strategic advisory work across broadcasters and streamers. You'll architect cloud solutions for live sports streaming and broadcast workflows, build proof-of-concepts with AWS media services, collaborate with account teams on customer workshops, and share field feedback with AWS product teams. Throughout the week, you balance hands-on customer engagements with thought leadership—mentoring junior SAs, presenting at industry conferences, and documenting architectural patterns
