We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Ads Marketing Finance team, supporting the financial planning and analysis of the Amazon Ads' Marketing organization. In this role, you will partner with finance and business stakeholders to build and maintain financial models that inform short- and long-term planning, support the evaluation of new business opportunities and investments, and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive growth across our global advertising portfolio.
Day-to-day, you will own monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance, support controllership of marketing investment spend, develop business metrics to measure marketing effectiveness, and provide ad-hoc analytical support to leadership. This role requires a self-starter with strong financial modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, comfort navigating ambiguity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will bring solid business acumen, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a track record of using data to support decision-making at scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with finance and business stakeholders to deliver financial analysis that supports business growth, and execute ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed.
- Build and maintain operational and financial metrics that provide visibility into business health, surfacing trends and insights to support leadership decision-making.
- Develop and maintain quantitative models and business cases to support the evaluation and implementation of new marketing initiatives and investments.
- Own controllership of Marketing investment spend, including tracking actuals against plan, investigating variances, and maintaining action plans to close gaps to financial targets.
- Support analysis of marketing channel performance and test-and-learn initiatives to help refine strategies for driving incremental Ads revenue

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you're where the numbers meet the marketing strategy. On any given day, you might be building a financial model to size a new campaign investment, reconciling marketing spend against plan and chasing down variances, or pulling together a deck that tells the story behind the numbers. You partner closely with your manager and cross-functional stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights. You're developing your financial judgment with every analysis, learning how marketing dollars translate into Ads revenue and sharpening your ability to influence business decisions through data.

The Amazon Ads Marketing Finance team is the financial partner to the Ads Marketing organization. We go beyond traditional reporting, building measurement frameworks that quantify marketing's impact on Ads revenue, developing bottoms-up investment strategies, and driving controllership across a growing global marketing portfolio.
