About our Team
The SPB Vertical Program serves as the single front door of initiatives improving the monetization of targeted business units via advertising. We own vertical monetization goals and are scaling from 3 verticals today to 10+ by 2028. We seek a Principal Technical Program Manager with strong technical depth to drive cross-org alignment, shape the strategic roadmap, influence external teams without authority, and build mechanisms that create leverage as the program scales. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to shape a new function from the ground up and drive outsized revenue impact across Amazon's fastest-growing business segments.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and operate the vertical intake mechanism: evaluate new vertical requests, help partners sharpen their proposals, scope solutions with internal teams, and drive prioritization decisions with leadership.
- Drive cross-org execution across SPB and partner organizations to deliver vertical monetization goals, coordinating dependencies and resolving blockers.
- Influence external partner teams without authority to align on shared goals and feeder commitments.
- Represent the Vertical Program in leadership reviews, authoring narratives that meet the bar for VP-level audiences.
- Define and scale program mechanisms that create leverage as the program grows.
- Review technical designs and trade-offs for vertical-specific solutions, balancing near-term partner needs with long-term SPB architecture.
- Leverage GenAI technologies to automate and improve program operations.
- Identify monetization gaps across verticals using data and translate insights into prioritized initiatives.
