Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.

Lead enterprise market strategy and execution for Amazon's Leo, a transformative satellite connectivity initiative serving Fortune 500 companies globally. You'll build and lead a specialized team, shape vertical-aligned business development strategy, and drive complex enterprise partnerships that connect customers with next-generation low-latency broadband solutions.

Key job responsibilities
Build and lead a vertical-aligned business development team across North America, transforming the organization from generalist roles to industry-specific subject matter experts focused on energy, media, retail, healthcare, logistics, construction, and manufacturing sectors

Establish the global business development strategy that international teams adopt and execute against as Leo scales, including vertical prioritization, competitive positioning frameworks, and market approaches

Design and implement repeatable sales mechanisms such as industry-specific plays, discovery methodologies, competitive positioning frameworks, and deal structure templates that the broader sales organization can scale and execute

Originate and execute complex enterprise deals with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 accounts at significant contract values, including financial modeling, creative structuring for early-adoption scenarios, and development of agreements such as term sheets, MOUs, and development contracts

Drive structured customer feedback loops into product and engineering teams, own enterprise readiness metrics, and lead due diligence activities that inform product roadmap and competitive positioning

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A day in the life
Your focus centers on scaling Leo's enterprise business development motion across North America while establishing the global strategy that international teams execute against. You'll spend your time across several interconnected priorities: leading your team of vertical-aligned business development professionals as they develop industry-specific market strategies for energy, media, retail, healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing sectors; collaborating with AWS industry business units to co-sell complex enterprise solutions.
On any given day, you might facilitate a discovery call with a Fortune 500 chief information officer to understand their connectivity challenges, work with your team to structure a creative financing proposal for a pre-launch customer, design a repeatable sales play that the broader Leo organization can execute, or lead an executive briefing center experience that showcases Leo's capabilities. You'll also spend considerable time bridging customer feedback into our product and engineering teams, ensuring that enterprise requirements directly inform our roadmap development.

About the team
We are a growing business development organization building the enterprise motion for a transformative connectivity initiative. Our team operates with significant autonomy and visibility across Amazon, working at the intersection of customer needs, AWS capabilities, and Leo's product roadmap. We're structured around industry verticals, with each team member developing deep expertise in their assigned sectors and owning the relationship with corresponding AWS industry business units.
Our customers range from energy companies managing distributed operations to media and entertainment organizations requiring global, low-latency connectivity. We're solving real infrastructure challenges for some of the world's largest enterprises. As we scale internationally, the strategies and mechanisms you establish in North America become the foundation for how our EMEA and APJ teams operate. You'll work closely with product leaders, engineers, legal, program management, and supply chain partners to translate customer needs into viable business solutions. This is an environment where ambiguity is normal, cross-functional collaboration is essential, and your ability to build trust across diverse stakeholder groups directly impacts our success.
