About the Role
The Sponsorship Sales Account Executive (AE) owns the end-to-end sales cycle for premium video sponsorship partnerships. This role sits within the centralized Agency Sponsorship Sales Team (SST) and operates within a matrixed Large Customer Sales (LCS) account pod structure. The Sponsorship AE serves as the owner Premium Brand Sponsorships opportunities, selling large, multi-dimensional partnerships rooted in intellectual property (IP) rights and content storytelling. The role reports to Sponsorship Sales leadership with day-to-day collaboration across LCS, Brand Partnerships GTM, Brand Innovation Lab, and Ad Marketing (ADM) stakeholders.
Key Job Responsibilities
Strategic Sponsorship Sales & Pipeline Development
The Sponsorship AE proactively prospects and closes high-value sponsorship deals across custom brand sponsorships integrated across Amazon. The AE builds and maintains a qualified pipeline, allocating 40% of time to outbound prospecting and custom pitch development.
IP-Rooted Storytelling & Partnership Design
Agency & Client Relationship Management
The AE maintains dedicated relationships with top agencies and builds strategic partnerships directly with Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) and Chief Creative Officers (CCOs) at client organizations..
Cross-Functional Orchestration
The AE leads cross-functional deal execution by coordinating with Brand Partnerships GTM (packaging, pricing, narrative development), Brand Innovation Lab (custom creative ideation), ADM (campaign execution), Studios Promotions (IP briefings), and Legal (contract execution). The AE reduces coordination complexity for premium deals and drives real-time trade-off decisions on supply allocation and customer prioritization.
Account Management & Renewals
The AE serves as the primary relationship owner for high value partners and conducts quarterly business reviews, monitors campaign performance against KPIs, and leads early renewal conversations. The AE drives net-new sponsor acquisition weighted toward premium partnerships while maintaining strong renewal rates for incumbent sponsors.
Forecasting & Sales Operations
The AE utilizes CRM tools for account planning, pipeline tracking, and revenue forecasting. The AE maintains accurate opportunity data by tier and stage, tracks close/win rates (target: 36%+ in FY26), and monitors days-to-close metrics (Tier 1: 90–110 days, Tier 2: 30–45 days). The AE contributes to WBR/MBR reporting cadences with tier-specific performance data.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience selling content, video, and programmatic advertising solutions across premium streaming and connected TV environments.
• Track record closing large, multi-dimensional sponsorship or brand partnership deals exceeding $10+MM in annual value.
• Deep understanding of IP rights, content licensing, and entertainment marketing — with the ability to translate IP narratives into compelling brand integration opportunities.
• Experience developing custom branded content proposals involving talent, in-program integrations, and cross-platform amplification.
• Strong agency relationships with demonstrated ability to engage CMOs, CCOs, and senior media investment decision-makers.
• Familiarity with programmatic deal structures, ADSP video capabilities, and the streaming TV advertising ecosystem (STV+, FAST, OLV).
• Experience operating in matrixed sales environments with shared credit models and cross-functional deal teams.
