About Anterior
Anterior is on a mission to transform healthcare administration, making it seamless and invisible so clinicians can focus on delivering care. We’ve built an AI-powered platform designed by clinicians, for clinicians, to simplify administrative workflows and improve patient outcomes. By combining clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology, we’re revolutionizing healthcare operations with responsible AI.
We're growing rapidly and are backed by world-class investors including Sequoia, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and Neo along with notable angels including the founders of DeepMind, Google AI, and Inflection AI.
Anterior is improving the experience of healthcare for everyone. We're working on the cutting edge of using technology to make clinical decision-making frictionless.
We're building exciting tech for huge customers and we trust in the foundations: keep it simple, build strong foundations, and the rest will follow.
About the Role
At Anterior, Directors of Deployment bring cutting-edge AI technology to life in the messy real-world of healthcare. You'll orchestrate complex customer implementations that sit at the intersection of clinical workflows, technical integrations, and project management —transforming innovative software into production systems that health plans depend on daily.
You'll work hand-in-hand with AI engineers, clinicians, and subject matter experts to navigate the intricate world of healthcare administration, translating customer needs into clear deployment specifications while coordinating across engineering, clinical, and customer stakeholder teams. You own the end-to-end success of customer deployments and will do anything required to make that a reality — from designing clinical workflow integrations onsite with nurses and care managers, to presenting implementation timelines and technical architecture to IT leadership at large payer organizations.
What you'll do
Orchestrate complex customer deployments to deliver on Anterior's mission: Lead end-to-end implementations that transform cutting-edge AI into production systems, ensuring customers go live on time and achieve their clinical and operational goals.
Convert the ambiguity of healthcare deployments into sparklingly clear execution plans: Immerse yourself in customer environments alongside clinicians and IT teams to translate high-level deployment goals into crystal-clear specifications, runbooks, and project plans across clinical workflow design, technical integration, and change management.
Execute relentlessly with elite cross-functional teams to bring deployments to life: Coordinate across AI engineers, clinical architects, and customer stakeholders to drive implementations from kickoff through go-live and stabilization, unblocking issues and managing scope to hit every milestone.
Master the deployment environment: Become an expert in healthcare IT landscapes, clinical operations, integration patterns, and deployment best practices to anticipate risks and architect scalable implementation processes, and write Anterior’s deployment playbook.
About you
You have an overextended sense of ownership, the job isn't done until it's proven the customer is live, happy, and getting value from the deployment.
You're an exceptional communicator, project orchestrator, and problem-solver who can translate complex deployment requirements into clear execution plans that align engineering, clinical, and customer teams.
You combine skeptical pragmatism with long-term optimism, obsess over the details while pushing for successful go-lives.
You seek truth in everything you do and take nothing as read.
5-7+ years of experience in deployment, implementation, technical customer success, or solutions engineering roles, taking complex software from contract signature through production go-live.
