Overview
Ark Foods is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to help share our exciting line of fresh cut vegetable products with the world. Our fresh cut vegetable product line spans many vegetables, such as broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potato, kale, and cabbage. Cuts include florets, diced, riced, noodled, chopped and shredded. Our SQF certified facility is highly automated, including two fully automated VFFS bagging lines.
This role will report to our Chairman and will focus on expanding our fresh cut sales to meet our facility’s ever-expanding capabilities.
Key work streams will include:
Identifying, pursuing and opening new fresh cut customer accounts
Owning the sales cycle from beginning to end, including outreach, pitching and negotiations to establish new customer relationships
Identifying broader market opportunities in fresh cuts in an effort to appeal to new customers
Overseeing day-to-day management of onboarded accounts
Guiding customer ordering patterns and frequency with an eye towards maximizing revenue and profitability for Ark Foods
Developing an in-depth knowledge of production processes and costs to inform product pricing and maintain strong margins
Coordinating with CEO, VP of Sales and Chairman and operations teams to ensure a smart, strategic approach to sales
This role will be focused on reaching established sales goals for the fresh cuts side of our business with a keen eye on increasing and maximizing profitability out of our Hackensack, NJ facility. It is a critical role in a product-focused, customer-obsessed, high-growth food company. The role will include exposure to senior company leadership as well as high-profile customers.
Requirements
5-8 years of sales experience in fresh cut produce
A deep knowledge and understanding of fresh cuts
The ability to identify key prospects quickly and efficiently
World-class communication skills
Agility in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment
