The Endpoint Security team is responsible for collecting security data used to protect Bloomberg’s fleet of servers, laptops and desktops as well as those in the Cloud. We play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information for use by the security operations teams. To do this we design, implement and maintain security solutions, the servers that run them and the code that integrates into Bloomberg processes.

You'll need to have:
- 4+ years programming experience in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Javascript).
- Experience performing systems administration, including troubleshooting and installation, monitoring system performance or availability, performing security upgrades
- A solid understanding of Linux Operating Systems (Windows or MacOS would be a plus).
- A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field of study or equivalent work experience
We'd love to see:
- Experience with EDR / XDR products such as Crowdstrike, SentinelOne, Osquery, Palo Alto Cortex.
- Experience with commonly used technologies such as MySQL, HaProxy, Chef, or Ansible
- Experience of working independently - taking projects from requirements gathering to completion
- Contribution to open source projects.
- Experience in software design and architecture
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about our products, data and users
