Bloomberg’s Electronic Trading Solutions (ETS) trading platforms are supported with Enterprise solutions to provide end-to-end workflows. This way, clients can stage, monitor, trade, allocate and perform Trade Cost Analysis on their trades directly from the Bloomberg Terminal for each asset class, whilst seamlessly interacting with our buy-side and sell-side Order Management Systems AIM and TOMS.
What’s the role?
We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our team in New York, as part of a global function dedicated to ensuring the effectiveness of Governance, Risk, and Control frameworks across our Electronic Trading Solutions. This role will play a critical part in both assessing and enhancing our operating control environment through continuous improvement and strong cross-functional collaboration. This is for a 9 month contract.
We’ll trust you to:
- Maintain and enhance the Risk Management Framework, ensuring it continues to align with agreed risk appetite and tolerance levels
- Analyze functional and support processes to identify control gaps and deficiencies; propose practical solutions and manage their delivery
- Partner with Business, Technology, and Compliance teams to ensure that controls and processes remain aligned with regulatory and legal requirements
- Support independent reviews of the operating model; identify issues and escalate remediation needs based on findings and recommendations
You’ll need to have:
- 7+ years of experience in risk management or control function within the financial services industry
- Proven experience in control design, assessment, implementation, and/or testing within the last 5 years
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment, with a solid understanding of U.S. regulatory frameworks and expectations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and motivate stakeholders across all levels
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive outcomes across complex organizational structures
- Experience managing third-party vendors and outsourced service providers, including performance oversight and risk mitigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and act on complex information
- Solid understanding of financial products and services, as well as strategic and financial planning principles
- A track record of continuous professional growth and progression within a dynamic organization
