A global media organization is seeking a talented Project-Based Graphic Designer to support its high-profile global forums and summits. These live events feature journalist-curated mainstage content and are broadcast across multiple media platforms. In this position, the you will create engaging on-screen graphics and visual materials that align with each event’s branding and editorial guidelines. This is a remote, project-based role requiring close collaboration with production, content, editorial & creative leads in the weeks leading up to each event and the flexibility to implement last-minute graphic changes during live broadcasts.
Responsibilities:
- Design and populate on-screen graphics for live events, including presentation slides and other visual content for mainstage sessions.
- Create core graphic templates for each event product based on provided design toolkits and editorial guidelines, ensuring a consistent visual identity.
- Collaborate with production teams approximately 2–3 weeks before each event to build all event-day slides in alignment with the Run of Show (ROS) and editorial content plan.
- Be available during live events to rapidly execute last-minute graphic changes or additions, maintaining composure and accuracy under real-time pressure.
- Ensure all graphics meet brand standards and support the event’s editorial narrative, maintaining consistency in style and quality across all visual elements.
- Participate in pre-event rehearsals or run-throughs as needed to test and refine graphics, making sure all visual elements are correctly integrated and timed according to the ROS.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in graphic design within the live event industry (preferably in a media or broadcast environment).
- Proficiency in design and presentation tools: advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator), After Effects for motion graphics, Apple Keynote, Figma and Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Drive).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of graphic styles and projects, with examples of work on live events or broadcast graphics.
- Comfortable working remotely and coordinating across multiple time zones on a project-based schedule.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with producers, editors, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing requirements during live productions.
