Bloomberg Live Experiences (BLE) delivers compelling, news-making convenings that harness the power of our global, wide-reaching newsroom and enable our premium audiences with the actionable insights and meaningful connections they need to succeed in work and in life.
BLE currently hosts two Forums: Bloomberg New Economy Forum and Qatar Economic Forum. These convenings are BLE’s largest newsmaking events – bringing together communities of global leaders from the public and private sectors to collaborate on some of the most pressing issues facing the world today. Today, BLE Forums are at an exciting point in their growth – expanding beyond just single points in time and transforming into always-on platforms for dialogue and discourse.
THE ROLE:
Bloomberg Media has an exciting role for an experienced client marketer and strategist to join the BLE team. This individual will own the development of event product sales materials – building strategic go-to-market narratives and creating strategic client proposals with a focus on BLE Forums. The role will partner with sales, strategy, client experience, marketing, production, editorial and more to develop compelling solutions to drive sponsorships across BLE. This position will be based at Bloomberg’s New York headquarters and report into the Executive Director, Commercial Strategy & Partnerships, Forums.
WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:
- Build compelling sales collateral – including, but not limited to, Go-To-Market (GTM) presentations, proposals, and one sheets
- Help build the commercial narrative and framing for BLE Forums – putting thought and strategy into how stories come to life in our materials and how they are voiced over when presented
- Develop thoughtful, strategic, and compelling event proposals that deliver against client metrics.
- Research client thought-leadership and business objectives – understanding the business priorities for our current and future clients
- Creatively design sales collateral and ensure that all materials are visually compelling
- Work cross-functionally across BLE (Editorial, Production, Marketing, Community Innovation etc.) to build ideas and thought-leadership that meet internal and external objectives
- Ideate and collaborate with teams throughout Bloomberg Media (Sales, Media Studios, Strategy, Product marketing) and fold ideation into proposals and GTM materials
- Support the build-out of multi-channel products and offerings within BLE
- Participate in internal brainstorms – contribute new and exciting ideas to conversations
- Take notes and coordinate follow-ups from meetings – manage information coming in from various teams and sure that timelines are maintained and deadlines are hit
- Support with development of client kick-off decks, sponsor guidebooks and post event reports
- Working on commercial packaging, pricing, and products for BLE
- Monitor competitive environment and stay informed about the media and event landscape as well as new product offerings
- Maintain hygiene of collateral on shared drive

YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree, 4-8 years of experience in developing best-in-class marketing proposals and sales collateral – preferably at a media organization
- Be a visual storyteller; build decks that flow and tell a clear, concise story and look beautiful
- A strong eye for design and the ability to craft highly-visual materials
- Impressive writing skills with ability to distill sophisticated ideas into simple sentences
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A strong commercial approach. Sales experience is a plus.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- An understanding of live events and the media landscape
