What's the role
The Global Program Manager will oversee Program Management for all real estate capital projects within the Facilities organization. This role is responsible for driving strategic alignment, governance, and operational excellence across a portfolio of global capital initiatives and capital project. The PMO Lead will collaborate with Project Managers across all delivery groups (Capital, Infrastructure, Facilities), functional leads, and external partners to ensure consistent, timely, and high-quality project delivery.
We'll trust you to:
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Provide program management oversight across all aspects of Facilities - ensuring alignment with organizational goals and capital planning strategies.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, controls, and reporting standards for capital projects.
- Drive continuous process improvement and standardization across regions and functions. Reviewing and refining the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring adoption by all team member.
- Manage and compile the annual Multi Year Plan (MYP) for global capital expenditure.
Program & Project Oversight
- Ensure consistent application of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Monitor project performance, risks, and financials to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead the Monthly Project Updates (MPU) reporting for all active capital projects – review data for accuracy, query PMs for input/ownership, and ensure the meeting is well structured and efficient.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with all internal stakeholders involved with capital projects: Finance, Procurement, AP, Design, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Technology, AV, Security, and others as necessary.
- Facilitate communication and alignment among internal and external stakeholders. Influence internal and external team members to adopt process improvements and change as best suited to improving capital project delivery and governance.
- Provide executive-level reporting and insights to senior leadership.
Operational Excellence
- Implement tools and systems to support project tracking, documentation, and data analysis.
- Use an analytical and data driven approach to identify and develop initiatives that will improve project delivery and the Bloomberg corporate office environment.
- Lead efforts to simplify invoicing, reimbursement, and budget reconciliation processes.
- Support regional teams in prioritizing and executing capital projects based on strategic drivers and resource availability. Facilitate all Capital meetings including Executive Project Update, Capital Steering Committee, Capital Roundtable, Regional Update meetings; prepare agendas, document meeting minutes and actions; manage issues, risks, decisions.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- ~6+ years of experience in program, project, or change management within a corporate workplace or capital project environment.
- Proven success in managing international programs with geographically dispersed teams.
- Expertise in full lifecycle project management, including large-scale system implementations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with project management software and data-driven decision-making. Proven record of successfully leading project activities in an ‘always on’ environment that’s fast-paced, dynamic, meaningful and demanding.
- Proven ability to influence and lead with and without authority; ability to interact and influence in a cross-functional environment with all levels of the organization, including executive management.
- Self-motivated and autonomous: the ability to influence and lead teams in an open environment. The ability to take the initiative to lead in circumstances where there are multiple stakeholders and complex challenges to address and solve.
- Highly strategic, innovative and creative: You’re able to think beyond specific tasks, understand the ultimate goals, and ask the right questions to drive value for clients and partners. You love to spot gaps and seize opportunities to make processes, workflows and program/project management more effective.
- Ability to work under pressure, take clear ownership of issues and programs &/or projects, and to ensure a successful closure/completion.
- Leadership facilitation experience to drive senior-level decision making.
We'd love to see:
- Familiarity with capital planning processes and multi-year budgeting.
- Experience in facilities, infrastructure, and supply chain-related capital initiatives.
- Knowledge of governance protocols and financial reporting standards.
