Digital Video Curation Team Leader

Bloomberg News has a wide range of video platforms and formats: From television to vodcasts, social-first vertical and longform documentary series. How we showcase our video across our website is key to reaching new audiences as well as engaging and retaining our loyal, subscriber audience.
As the Team Lead for Video Curation, you will develop a team that is responsible for commissioning clips, packaging and promoting this premium video on Bloomberg.com and YouTube. The role is ensuring that the Bloomberg.com audience is updated with breaking news videos, newsmakers and more. You will turn editorial priorities from across the newsroom into a clear daily plan, make fast editorial calls, and ensure a high quality of headlines, thumbnails, and live streams.
You have strong editorial judgment and are detail oriented. You coach editors, partner with producers and video clipping teams, and use analytics to refine our video curation strategy on the website.
We’ll expect you to:
- Lead a team of editors responsible for digital curation across Bloomberg.com
- Collaborate with key partners across the news desks, TV, Radio and Digital on setting and delivering newsroom priorities for video
- Partner with product teams on enhancements and projects related to video curation (tools, workflows etc)
- Run day-to-day operations of the team including: shift handoffs, assigning and sharing priorities, attend news calls, run team meetings, and time off
- Track video performance across bloomberg.com
You’ll need:
- 5 to 7 years in a digital newsroom or video platform role
- Strong news judgment across business, markets, tech, and policy
- Hands-on experience with video curation and creation tools
- Comfort with video analytics and applying insights to decisions
- Clear, calm communication under deadlines and very strong cross team collaboration
- Dedication to accuracy, accessibility, and Bloomberg standards.
