Bloomberg Media is looking for a Product Manager – User Data & Identity to define and lead the vision for how we collect, manage, and unlock the value of user data. You’ll set the strategy to ensure data is accurate, accessible, privacy-compliant, and actionable—spanning user data systems, segmentation and lookalike models, and activation platforms. By understanding our audiences and the full corpus of data we have about them, you’ll translate insights into strategies that drive growth across the subscriptions and commercial businesses. Partnering across marketing, product, engineering, data science, and compliance, you’ll drive innovative campaigns, deeper engagement, and maximize business value from data, while championing best-in-class privacy and governance. This highly technical and collaborative role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution to make audience data a competitive advantage for Bloomberg Media.
We’ll trust you to:
  • Define the product vision, roadmap, and execution strategy for user data capabilities that power the subscriptions and advertising businesses.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of user data & identity: from determining what data to collect, to managing data collection, storage, deletion, governance, authentication, privacy compliance, and activation across multiple internal and external vendor platforms.
  • Lead the development and ongoing optimization of machine learning models to support targeted marketing, personalization, commercial, and product strategies.
  • Own product management for user data systems, including databases, services, and APIs, that enable accurate and efficient data flows throughout Bloomberg Media’s digital ecosystem.
  • Analyze user data and partner closely with engineering, data science, marketing, insights, and product, to turn insights into high-impact use cases for subscription growth and advertising revenue.
  • Collaborate with legal, data privacy, and risk management to ensure compliance with global privacy regulations and internal policies while enabling value-driven data use.
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment across technical and business teams.
You’ll need to have:
  • Minimum 3+ years of product management experience, with a track record of delivering data-driven products and managing user data systems.
  • Strong technical acumen, with experience in data architecture, data lakes, user data and identity systems, ETL, APIs, and platforms such as ActionIQ, Iterable.
  • Proven ability to partner with marketing and/or activate data for audience engagement and campaign targeting.
  • Experience working with data engineering, data science, and backend services teams in a complex, cross-functional environment.
  • Knowledge of data governance, global data privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate technical and/or legal concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A bias toward action and a strong grasp of ownership, with the ability to break down complex problems into clear, deliverable steps.
