ABOUT CANVS

CANVS is an interactive platform that highlights street art from different cities. The data we capture includes mural photos, artist profiles, mural descriptions, descriptive tags, etc. Our database powers arts programs and festivals in cities across the United States.

Launched in 2016 as a passion project, CANVS has expanded to over 100 cities with 3,500+ murals captured. The technology behind CANVS allows for engagement between artists, enthusiasts, and curators, connecting artists and fans in powerful, unprecedented ways.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with product team exploring creative and technical product solutions
• Define architectural standards following best tech practices
• Define security procedure development
• Ensures tech solutions are secure, accessible, flexible, and scalable
• Perform code reviews to ensure the quality of the overall delivery

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be willing to build serious architecture. This is not just a pixel-pushing gig, we need a team player who can take ownership.
• Working knowledge of HTTP, Rest, APIs, AWS and modern Javascript frameworks.
• A voice and advocate for good engineering, innovation, and technology
• Resolute in their approach to decision making and problem-solving
• A genuine appreciation for art and creativity!
