Role Description The Compliance & SOC 2 Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in New York, NY, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance frameworks, with a strong focus on SOC 2 controls and documentation. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring regulatory changes, conducting risk assessments, performing internal audits, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements impacting Cashably’s operations and technology. The specialist will collaborate closely with legal, engineering, product, and operations teams to embed compliance best practices into processes and systems, and will prepare reports and evidence for external audits. The role also involves creating and delivering compliance training, improving policies and procedures, and supporting incident response and remediation efforts.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, including experience designing and maintaining compliance programs.
- Candidates should possess solid Legal Compliance and Analytical Skills to interpret regulations, assess risks, and translate requirements into actionable controls.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare clear documentation, and support audit activities.
- Experience with SOC 2 (Trust Services Criteria), information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and internal audit practices is highly beneficial.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in law, business, information security, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CCEP, CISA, CIPM) are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced fintech or financial services environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
