Casper is seeking a talented Software Engineering Manager to join our Direct To Consumer technology team. As a company built on a strong digital foundation, technology is integral to our retail and eCommerce vision and how customers interact with the Casper brand. You’ll play a key role by leading the engineering team responsible for building and delivering delightful experiences to our customers on casper.com.

This is a remote role open to anyone based within the United States.
When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering partners to ensure casper.com is a best-in-class eCommerce experience
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing, diverse engineers
- Participate in full development lifecycle, including estimation, development, testing and deployment
- Provide technology (Web/Salesforce) expertise for solution design and technical implementation
- Work closely with Product team to develop short and long term eCommerce technology roadmap
- Translate business and marketing challenges into high-performing, scalable solutions
- Support the Product eam in managing business expectations in regard to technical solution delivery and timelines
- Enjoy teaching and coaching the business team on how to best use Salesforce Commerce Cloud
- Maintain and document processes/procedures and provide seamless hand-off to business users
- Stay in tune with the latest Salesforce technology updates, changes, community, and roadmap(s)
Our dream candidate has...
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years of technical management experience
- Strong web development experience with HTML, CSS, JS, AJAX (ReactJS experience preferred)
- Extensive development knowledge specifically around server side and client side JavaScript
- Proficiency with modern DevOps practices for CI/CD processes
- Proficiency with integration methodologies and technologies (e.g. REST)
- Proficiency with source control platforms and workflows (e.g. GitHub/GitFlow)
- Proficiency with quality assurance practices
- Working knowledge of modern eCommerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud
- Knowledge of digital commerce components such as users, catalog, pricing, inventory, and payments.
- Knowledge of digital commerce integrations such as CMS, DAM, PIM, OMS, and ERP
- Ability to create design documentation, architecture diagrams and business user documentation, with a strong attention to detail
- Open-minded and values a team that is flexible around implementation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to haves:
- Certified as a Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer or Architect
- Experience with Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud Reference Architecture (SFRA)
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning Order Management and/or Mulesoft

Targeted Annual Base Salary Range: $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD
Casper’s compensation philosophy ensures that the actual base salary is based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, experience, special training, time in position, and/or years of service.
