Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks an Investment Banking Senior Associate for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Analyze companies’ financial statements, perform valuations through Discounted Cash Flow Analysis, Comparable Companies and Precedent Transactions to evaluate strategic alternatives with a focus on LATAM corporate and institutional clients and international corporations looking to invest in Latin America. Perform financial modeling and assess accurate valuation drivers in the context of Latin America’s dynamics. Perform credit analysis in the context of emerging markets companies (currency exposure, inflationary environments, political uncertainty). Analyze structured finance products relating to borrowing base facilities and trade finance. Foster client development, creating complex financial analysis and performing detailed valuation analysis including synergy analysis and accretion/dilution models to guide prices in non-binding offer letters for companies with a presence in Latin America and international corporations looking to invest in Latin America. Execute IPOs, SPACs, DeSPACs, M&A, Private Placements. Track business development and map macroeconomic factors in Latin America and domestic financial markets to predict trends and market behaviors. Use FactSet, Bloomberg Terminal and Capital IQ in the context of investment banking analyses. Manage team communication and organization on M&A advisory including the preparation of initial pitch materials, conflict clearance, NDAs, and business memo generation across a variety of industries and across Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean. Apply Microeconomic concepts in working with seniors on strategic approaches to prepare marketing materials including the teaser, confidential information memorandum and management presentations to create positioning theses and accurately market the deal to potential investors. Draw conclusions from first and final round bids in the context of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions to be communicated in high-level negotiation meetings to determine the best sale strategy Evaluate relevant legal documentations and review relevant clauses in legal documents including non-binding offers, non-disclosure agreements and corporate governance term sheets considering local jurisdictions specific LATAM countries. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field and 3 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst, Banking Program Analyst or related position involving investment banking for large corporate clients in LATAM. 3 years of experience must include: Valuation and credit analysis for emerging markets companies; Financial modelling for companies across all industries in Latin America; Microeconomic concepts and Latin American dynamics; Latin American financial markets; Bloomberg Terminal; Project management for M&A execution; Microsoft Office products’ advanced tools; At least 1 year of experience must include: Execution of IPOs, SPACs, DeSPACs, M&A, Private Placements; Structured finance products: borrowing base facilities and trade finance; and Capital IQ and FactSet.
