As part of Citi’s Technology and Business Enablement function, the Enterprise Data Office and Data Transformation team is responsible for defining and driving the Firm’s data strategy designed to achieve the highest data integrity standards and meeting regulatory expectations. It partners with businesses Citi-wide to ensure we have best-in-class data risk and control capabilities. EDO plays an important role in Citi’s Transformation efforts by driving a Citi-wide focus on data risk management. Through ongoing investment in processes, controls, systems, and governance, EDO continues to further embed consistency and best practices across Citi, driving closer alignment between the businesses and regulatory goals. The Enterprise Data Transformation Program is a key initiative for the Wholesale Lending Domain. The goal is to transform the end-to-end wholesale lending data process which will consolidate all remediation efforts for loan product processing and establish a consistent target operating model with a focus on improved processes, controls, and enhanced technology to achieve best-in-class data processing capabilities to support our client franchise.

EDO is looking for a highly energized, dynamic Data & Reporting Transformation Lead to support the Wholesale Lending Domain. This individual should have:

  • a sound understanding of data risk management lifecycle, frameworks, controls and associated best practice
  • experience in design and execution of operations and regulatory reporting, KPIs, metrics and data op model
  • good data analytical skills and able to grasp large and complex datasets quickly and willing to pro-actively deep dive into data warehouse(s) and systems independently to gain understanding
  • core change delivery and execution expertise with track record of achieving tangible outcomes
  • experience in wholesale lending, including the product and its supporting operating model will be a significant advantage (e.g., transaction management, operations, reporting, controls, data, and technology requirements etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and coordination of day-to-day EDO Reporting workstream(s) activities; specific focus on design and management of metrics/CDEs, reporting applications, inventories, controls
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Citi and external subject matter experts to drive design, build and production of key operational and regulatory Reporting, Metrics, and management information solutions
  • Ensure quality, sustainable Metrics & Reporting design and production processes (consistency, accuracy, completeness, timeliness) including identification, documentation, and risk acceptance of any deviations/ gaps
  • Validate detailed requirements, identify root cause reporting deficiencies, and recommend solutions to strengthen the global platform and supporting control framework
  • Lead meetings with senior management groups including governance, operating committees, workshops and working groups
  • Manage program communications and governance (e.g., plan, status reporting, RAIDs) inc preparation of associated governance forum materials
  • Direct the identification and escalation of risks and issues impacting workstream delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed that address key risks and issues
  • Maintains robust change delivery documentation and evidence to meet IA and regulatory scrutiny

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 10+ years’ experience in project management and reporting related functions (i.e., metrics, CDEs, reports)
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Must have wholesale lending experience, preference for background in Transaction Management, Operations, Risk or Finance function
  • Proven business/ data analysis expertise, problem solving skills and curiosity to develop deep process and systems knowledge
  • Ability to manage workstreams across multiple lines of business and multiple uses cases
  • Interprets business stakeholder needs and translates into considered reporting requirements
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of reporting, data, and metrics control design
  • Advanced communication, advocacy, and stakeholder management skills to influence and drive decision-making
  • Eagerness for ownership, demonstrates sense of urgency and positive and optimistic approach to change
  • Operates independently under tight deadlines and prioritizes competing demands in a dynamic environment

Additional experience and knowledge for Internal Candidate

  • Experience in using Lynx UI, Optima Cognos Reporting Tool, CitiRisk (Facility Management, Collateral) and extracting data from Data Globe (especially data schemas: DGSTREAM, DGFU, DGREF & DGLOBE)
  • Good understanding on Loan data hierarchy (Request/Credit Agreement/Facility/GFRN) in Lynx.
