Finance Transformation is a results-driven organization of leaders supporting Citi Finance’s transformation with a global scope. Ideal candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have an in-depth knowledge of financial services, experience delivering large, complex programs of work in Liquidity, Capital Markets, Market Risk or regulatory transformation, with a background in management consultancy and proven leadership savvy.

The Program Management Senior Lead Director is responsible for program management oversight and execution, business management, program metrics, and driving the creation of executive level content for the most senior leaders at Citi (CEO, CFO, COO), Regulators, and the Board. This role involves managing stakeholders to ensure deadlines are hit while helping them remove roadblocks to achieving their target end dates. Additionally, the Senior lead will leverage source documentation to create baseline materials, and then reach out to the respective accountable executives/their teams to validate accuracy of content. Oftentimes, materials are needed in very tight timeframes requiring strong attention to detail. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide and influence others, in particular colleagues in other areas. This is a hands-on individual contributor role and will require strong collaboration within and outside the team. Additionally, serve as business manager for the head of the Group, organizing town halls meetings and special projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs program management oversight and execution activities to ensure deliverables meet high standard expectations and are submitted on time.
  • Oversee RAG status, risks, issues, and change requests to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Supports planning, directing and coordination of executive level communications
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets business objectives.
  • Builds and manages stakeholder needs and expectations tied to the content of materials and upcoming deliverables due
  • Drives resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.
  • Implements SOPs and controls tied to the execution of building presentations
  • Performs regular QA of work to ensure content is consistent within and across documents, accurate, and formatted properly
  • Drives adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the program.
  • Directs the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Directs the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of content coverage should be learned
  • Escalates program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
  • Creates Town Hall decks, talking points, and works on special projects for Group Lead
  • Overall accountability to ensure that the overall Metrics process monthly reviews and annual metric alignment and attestation are performed according to plan with buy in from stakeholders, Risk and Audit.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Strong program management skills (PMP preferred) and experience leading large scale transformation efforts in the past
  • Superior communication skills (oral and written) are required and an essential part of this role
  • Should demonstrate a commitment to quality and extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, ideally macro development) and PowerPoint skills (creating decks with professional look and feel)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
