The Director position resides within the Client Delivery team, which maintains a mandate to help deliver the best of Citi across our client franchise, ensuring we are consistent, unified, and disciplined in our approach, as a core team within the Client Organization. The role is wide in scope, given the enterprise-wide remit of the Client Delivery team and broader Client Organization.
The job requires a comprehensive understanding of the Institutional and Wealth client businesses, combined with a solid conceptual / practical grounding in executing in the context of a large bank. Successful candidates work well in a highly collaborative environment and have excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
Role Overview:
The role reports to the Head of Client Delivery – Financial Institutions & Wealth within the Client Organization and will play a critical part in advancing the bank's client-centric strategy / disciplines / initiatives.
Collaborating closely with senior leaders across Citi’s 5 key businesses, the broader Client Organization, and other internal / external partners, the candidate will have the opportunity to perform a variety of functions and contribute to the development of a critical and growing mandate for Citi.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Strategy and Execution:
- Support efforts focused on building a holistic picture of the global client franchise across Citi, with a strong lens on the Financial Institution and Wealth client segments, through exposure to a variety of topics in a fast-paced environment with complex, multi-faceted projects.
- Lead the implementation of the bank's segment-level strategic initiatives by partnering with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver the best of Citi for our clients and unlock accretive growth opportunities for the firm.
- Translate client insights into actionable strategies to unlock opportunities, enhance returns and drive strategic client engagement across touchpoints.
- Partner closely with Citi’s Vice Chairs to drive / execute on our strategy for our largest and most important clients
- Develop presentations for executive updates / communications to senior firm leaders and key stakeholders.
Client Disciplines and Governance:
- Support in the execution of the firm’s comprehensive client framework, including driving governance and consistency across key client-related initiatives such as client tiering, value proposition, voice of the client, account planning etc.
- Design and manage strategic programs aimed at improving client outcomes and delivering measurable business impact. Track, measure, and report on the success of these client initiatives.
- Oversee cross-divisional initiatives that promote better client experiences and outcomes, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with senior leadership to align on client strategy priorities, drive consensus on client centric efforts, and present insights / recommendations.
- Foster collaboration between client-facing teams and internal support functions to deliver integrated and holistic client solutions.
Client Insights:
- Use qualitative and quantitative information to understand segment-level themes, implications for our clients, evolving client needs and influence client relationship, client engagement, client delivery (e.g., product, service) strategies.
Client Advocacy & Culture:
- Champion a client-first mindset by embedding client-focused practices into the bank's culture, processes, and decision-making frameworks.
- Act as a client advocate within the organization, ensuring that client perspectives are represented in strategic decisions and business planning.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in business / client strategy, or a related function within financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
- Strong track record of excellence in leading and delivering on initiatives across complex global organizations.
- Highly motivated and self-driven, ability to multi-task productively and result orientation
- Analytical mindset; Ability to connect data and insights to broader business objectives and craft actionable strategies.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs and drive execution.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong PowerPoint skills, experience creating EMT and Board-level presentations.
- Ability to lead cultural and operational change initiatives focused on client outcomes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
