Citibank, N.A. seeks a Spread Products Banking Associate for its New York, NY location.
Duties: Provide innovative capital solutions to a broad range of Citi’s institutional clients ranging from corporations, asset managers, institutional investors, governments, and non-profits across credit, municipal, and securitized markets. Structure financing solutions for large asset managers including CLO warehouse facilities, broadly syndicated loan facilities, and private credit facilities. Conduct in-depth analysis of origination strategies to provide best transaction terms. Conduct extensive negotiations on legal documents specifically Credit Agreements. Assist and support the business in managing client relationships and help develop strategic and tactical capital plans for Citi’s institutional clients. Responsible for monitoring the performance of active facilities as well as structuring deal amendments to cater to client needs in an evolving market. Prepare written recommendations and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals. Conduct economic/financial research. Build complex financial paydown models to assist with the structuring of private credit facilities. Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and their assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations. Adhere to Citi policies, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Finance, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation structuring credit financing products for clients within the financial industry. Two (2) years of experience must include: Reviewing and building detailed models using Excel to provide stakeholders with complex statistical analyses and provide clients with deal terms; Working with transaction parties including issuers, servicers, accountants, lawyers, and rating agencies to prepare deal documents and legal disclosures, respond to investor inquiries, and ensure data accuracy and timely deal closure; Performing due diligence for securitizations including compliance, title, data integrity, collateral, servicing, and payment history reviews; Leveraging analytical tools including Visual Basics for Applications (VBA) to review and evaluate large data sets; Utilizing financial data platforms including Bloomberg to analyze asset performance and provide market trend analysis; and Performing activities required for credit facilities including the administration and monitoring of monthly processes, initial and ongoing diligence, and collateral documentation. 40 hrs./wk.
