Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker, Vice President for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Engage global healthcare companies to win investment banking mandates. Identify accretive opportunities for key global healthcare clients. Develop new approaches for potential and current transactions. Lead day-to-day execution of deals including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offering (IPO) and various equity and debt transactions. Drive transaction analyses including the creation of dynamic financial models and analysis of due diligence topics. Synthesize information and prepare presentations to senior bankers, clients and prospective clients. Engage counterparty and advisors to discuss potential transactions. Evaluate historical performance, differentiators, and drivers of companies. Develop operating models, including financial projections. Create valuation models (DCF, LBO, CAPM Model, Dividend Discount Model, Comparable and Precedent Transaction Benchmarking. Model pro forma impact of transactions, including merger, divestiture, spin-off, and JV. Prepare internal documents and analyses to meet regulatory requirements. Conduct Equity Capital Market (ECM) and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) analyses. Oversight of junior banker work (analysts and associates). Build-out healthcare group capabilities through the preparation of databases, as well as sector/product studies. Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to progress deals. Evaluate macroeconomic news and research to identify potential implications on valuations and financing costs. Determine key drivers of valuations for healthcare companies. Evaluate corporate transactions including M&A, cross border transactions, equity, and debt capital raises and their structures. Ensure compliance with internal processes and external regulatory requirements. Build-out healthcare team by mentoring analysts and associate classes, as well as support recruiting practices. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as an Investment Banking Associate, Investment Banking Analyst, or related position performing financial and valuation modeling of business transactions for a global financial institution. 5 years of experience must include: Financial valuation and valuation modeling to price and value potential transactions using financial techniques including Comparable Companies Multiples, Comparable Precedent Transactions, Leverage Buy Out (LBO), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), and Merger Models; Data collection and analysis for potential and current business transactions; Deal Execution process management for M&A and equity and debt transactions; Macro-economic analyses; M&A, ECM, and DCM trend analysis for internal business purposes; and Public and private market development trend review. 2 years of experience must include: Transaction execution for clients in healthcare industries; and Market and technology research and analysis for global healthcare companies.
