The Head of Customer Growth - US Value Cards and Personal Installment Loans, Director is a senior-leadership role that is responsible for driving profitable customer growth across the Value Cards and Personal Installment Loans portfolios. Reporting directly to the Head of Value Cards, Personal Installment Loans, and Merchant Lending, this role will deliver on new customer acquisition targets for Diamond Preferred and Simplicity cards, and personal installment loans. The role will also be responsible for establishing new fee-based revenue streams through decline monetization across Value cards and personal loans
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategies to drive profitable customer growth for Value Cards and Personal Installment Loans, aligning with overall product strategies.
Partner with Marketing and Analytics to ensure new customer acquisition aligns with profitability targets and risk appetite.
Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to launch new product positioning effectively across all marketing channels.
Deliver on planned commitments for new customer acquisitions and identify opportunities for sustained profitable growth.
Cultivate strong relationships with Marketing, Analytics, and Risk teams to monitor performance and customer profiles while scaling acquisition volumes.
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test-and-learn agendas with Analytics and Product teams, maintaining routines to evaluate results and inform decisions.
Partner with marketing, analytics, and risk teams to establish the optimal channel mix for profitability and effectiveness.
Spearhead competitive intelligence efforts by conducting deep-dive analyses of competitor acquisition offers to inform strategic planning.
Ensure seamless execution of pre-screen campaigns with Marketing and Product teams, integrating all necessary product-related changes into marketing communications.
Implement optimized email strategies with Marketing and Analytics to achieve significant email reduction with minimal sales impact.
Collaborate with the Branch Network and Operations teams to implement cross-sell and acquisition strategies for Personal Installment Lending.
Evaluate options for generating fee revenue through decline monetization for personal loans and Value cards with second look and tertiary look providers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience, with a proven track record of delivering results and leading high-performing teams.
Strategic thinker with the ability to define overarching business strategies, develop detailed tactical plans, and secure cross-functional buy-in for execution.
Deep knowledge and understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, industry players, and competitive landscape within financial services.
Demonstrated strong people leadership skills, including structuring work, coaching talent, and developing team capabilities.
Exceptional ability to build and nurture relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across the organization to achieve common goals.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), listening, and influencing skills across all levels, particularly with Marketing, Analytics, Risk, and Technology colleagues.
Strong understanding of product architecture, backend systems, data dependencies, and front-end interfaces relevant to financial products.
A change agent with a proven ability to drive innovation, transform business trajectories, and constructively challenge the status quo to foster continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize effectively, and drive results with a high sense of urgency.
Proven capacity to frame and solve complex problems under time pressure.
