Job Description – Wealth COO, NAM CG Business Execution
The Senior Vice President, North America (NAM) Citigold Business Execution Lead is responsible for driving financial performance, strategic execution, and operating effectiveness for the North America Citigold business. This role partners closely with Citigold leadership to define priorities, design scalable operating models, and drive profitability through disciplined expense management, organizational effectiveness, and enterprise‑level execution. The role acts as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders, translating strategy into measurable outcomes across a complex, matrixed organization while maintaining strong risk, control, and regulatory standards consistent with Citi’s policies and values.
Responsibilities:
- End‑to‑end ownership expense management for NAM Citigold, driving profitability and meeting Plan targets through disciplined cost control, resource allocation, forecasting, and close partnership with Finance team to ensure alignment between financial outcomes and operating priorities.
- Design and evolve operating and organizational models to support NAM Citigold growth, scalability, and execution excellence, optimizing decision-making, talent, and processes across a complex, matrixed organization.
- Shape Citigold NAM strategy execution and priority setting, partnering with senior leadership to translate objectives into a focused, sequenced portfolio of initiatives and execution roadmaps with clear ownership, resourcing, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives, including operating model uplift, productivity programs, and strategic change efforts in partnership with NAM Citigold leaders and business partners.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, synthesizing complex financial and operational data into clear executive‑level insights, recommendations, and decision‑ready narratives delivered through high‑impact presentations and briefings.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Foster a high‑performance, accountable, and inclusive environment, modeling Citi leadership behaviors and values.
Recommended Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in financial services
- Management consulting experience strongly preferred, with the ability to structure complex problems and drive actionable insights.
- Strong storytelling and framework‑building skills, translating complexity into clear, executive‑level narratives and decision models.
- Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders
- Deep understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting and cost discipline
- Strong analytical judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity to surface insights, considerations and solutions.
- Credible executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and align diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master's degree preferred
