Job Overview
Citi is looking for a Client Executive to join its Investor Services business a top 4 global provider of Custody, Fund Services, and Agency Lending where you will own and grow a key strategic Asset Manager relationship across North America as part of a broader global client team.
In this senior role, you will serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for one of Citi's most important clients, operating within a network spanning 60+ countries and serving approximately 19,000 institutional clients worldwide. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape client outcomes, drive revenue growth, and deliver an exceptional end-to-end experience at the intersection of custody, fund services, and global financial markets.
Responsibilities
Act as the senior relationship owner for a strategic Asset Manager client in North America, serving as their primary advocate and trusted advisor within Citi's global Investor Services network.
Lead and coordinate the negotiation of client contracts, business updates, and risk-related matters in partnership with Legal and Product teams, ensuring agreements reflect the client's evolving needs.
Develop and execute strategies to retain existing revenue and generate new income by identifying, pursuing, and closing cross-sell opportunities across Citi's product suite.
Advise clients on regulatory developments, industry trends, and product solutions, positioning Citi as a strategic partner capable of anticipating and responding to market change.
Govern client satisfaction by conducting regular relationship reviews, tracking performance against service commitments, and leading coordinated action plans to resolve concerns.
Partner with product, operations, and technology teams to drive continuous improvement in the services and solutions delivered to the client.
Maintain full accountability for client profitability, pricing negotiations, and the financial efficiency of the overall relationship.
Required Qualifications & Skills
8 or more years of experience in client relationship management within a global financial institution, with demonstrated ability to manage senior-level relationships independently.
In-depth knowledge of the Custody and Fund Services industry, including a solid understanding of the asset manager client segment and the regulatory and risk environment in which they operate.
A track record of identifying and successfully executing cross-sell opportunities, with the ability to articulate the value of complex financial products to institutional clients.
Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex issues by influencing stakeholders across functions, geographies, and seniority levels without direct authority.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and presence to lead external client meetings, negotiations, and senior-level discussions.
Strong ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment, shifting focus rapidly in response to client and business demands.
Commitment to continuous learning, with the motivation to stay current on market developments, regulatory changes, and evolving client needs.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
A Master's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, or Economics.
Cross-product knowledge spanning multiple services offered within global financial institutions, enabling holistic client solution design.
Familiarity with client onboarding and know-your-client processes within a regulated financial services environment.
