Job Overview

This role involves managing a team or department responsible for processing orders and transactions from trading desks and branch offices, in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The focus is on operational excellence, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and strategic improvements across various asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, and Over the Counter (OTC) Derivatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the Confirmation and Settlements team for global markets and products.
  • Ensure timely and accurate trade confirmations and settlements.
  • Oversee exception management and resolve trade discrepancies with clients, custodians, and counterparties.
  • Drive automation and Straight Through Processing (STP) initiatives to enhance efficiency and propose improvements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the strategic application of artificial intelligence, including machine learning and generative AI, to identify business opportunities, lead innovation, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI-driven projects from conception to execution
  • Maintain expertise in post-trade workflows for all asset classes.
  • Develop and implement business initiatives, client solutions, and projects related to securities and derivatives settlement.
  • Solve complex inquiries and conduct due diligence for client requests.
  • Analyze escalated issues and recommend resolutions.
  • Contribute to processing standards for securities and derivatives teams.
  • Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures for cost savings.
  • Coordinate with internal and external clients for service quality assessment.
  • Coach and develop team talent, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with market platforms, particularly DTCC.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
