Job Overview

Job Description:

This role is for Java Micro Service Developer who will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise-level software systems on top Spring Boot, Java, and Agular Material development stack using CI/CD framework on ECS platform with microservice architecture, and database knowledge.

Java Micro Service Developer is responsible for design and development of high-volume, low-latency, highly scalable applications for mission-critical application services. Expectation is to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle including writing well designed, testable, efficient code, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities include:

· Design and development of high-volume, low-latency, highly scalable applications for mission-critical application services.

· Development using Java, Spring Boot framework with Angular

· Day to day development work in Agile development environment using JIRA

· Application code development, integration testing, and deployment using CI/CD framework using Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, BMC RLM, etc.

· Writing unit tests in java script using modern testing tools

· Unit Testing using mocking frameworks

· Securing the micro service applications to complaint to Citi security standards

· Development and Implementation of monitoring controls, integration with monitoring and reporting tools

· Tuning the application’s performance and availability to meet the application SLO and SLAs

· Contribute to SRE team work on continuous improvement.

· Collaborate on end-to-end resiliency and continuity of business tests.

· Provide level 3 support on critical application issues

Experience:

· 2+ years java development experience with java based micro-services framework and implementation, spring framework, hibernate framework, sql, etc.

· 5+ years of strong experience in Core Java/J2EE, Node-JS, Sprint Boot, etc.

· Should have deep knowledge of SOA & Micro services, REST Services Development

· Strong knowledge on Software development lifecycle (SDLC)

· Required technical knowledge in Agentic AI, MCP server and their tools

· Working knowledge on Databases of SQL server or MongoDB would be added advantage.

- Exposure to AI Coding tools such as Devin, Cursor

- Excellent communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
