The internet has totally changed everybody’s media preferences and most businesses have just not kept up. We’re all in “feeds” and “streams” like Facebook and messaging, yet companies are still stuck in the era of “pages” and forced advertising.

That’s why there’s Citia.

We built Citia to revolutionize the way companies share information with customers and employees to catch up on mobile-first media habits. Yes, we have customers ranging from tattoos (MTV) to turbines (GE) on the platform. Come join us on the ground floor as we create a $2B+ market!

Companies including Viacom, Amazon, Atlassian, GE, and Comcast use the Citia platform to create fully-featured, browser-based and app-like experiences that run cross-device and cross-platform in a “game-changing” Web-App system. Through our proprietary “CardMesh” we allow companies to communicate in a more contemporary way, through swipeable and snackable content. We have completely changed the user engagement game to the tune of 10x all previous era metrics.

As design lead, you will be responsible for the areas where design, technology and business intersect. You will expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, owning the experience for a wide area of the Citia product.

You will also be working directly with our client partners to help them successfully execute projects using the Citia platform, from overall design strategy, down to creation and production work. This can include training clients to use the platform, assisting with client questions, producing Cardsites, asset management, copy editing, and managing rounds of edits received from the client.

Assignments can also include website design, sales collateral, email blasts, internal and external communication, and branding.

The ideal candidate will have a portfolio that demonstrates strong design work — including a solid understanding of user-experience and user-interface best practices — and experience with web development technologies. Candidates are expected to be quick learners with creative ideas and have the proven ability to work collaboratively.

Enthusiasm — for designing and making great products and experiences — is essential. Original, flexible, critical thinkers who communicate and collaborate well with a wide range of contributors will thrive.

Candidates should possess impeccable organizational skills, strong writing skills, knowledge of digital assets (.jpeg, .png, .gif, .mp4), an eagerness to learn, and the ability to multi-task with attention to detail. A background and interest in digital marketing, technology and social media is preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working with our sales, marketing, account management and leadership teams to craft product strategy and roadmaps
  • Developing projects from concept through production and on-time delivery against tight deadlines
  • Developing an understanding of our client's business, and communications and corporate marketing goals, and produce work to align with these goals.
  • Creating user-centered experiences and visually beautiful interfaces
  • Generating final design spec documents for development and work closely with engineers on delivering complete products

About You:

  • 3+ years design experience across mobile and web with Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic/Web Design, Visual Communications, Advertising, UI/UX or Product Design
  • Willingness to pivot quickly and creatively in new directions
  • Experience designing with Sketch, Zeplin, Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign CC or above) and Powerpoint / Keynote
  • Experience designing products for growth (e.g., conversion optimization, A/B testing, scaling, user delight)
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and juggle multiple projects with sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A pragmatic innovator whose solutions elicit responses that justify the effort and investment.
  • A keen interest in the evolving technology and design landscape, including the emergence of new standards and devices.
  • A portfolio of digital work with relevant examples of product design both personal or professional projects, including projects over which you had total creative control
