We’re transforming the collecting experience with technology that brings authentication, grading, and trading into the modern era. Our products are equalizing the playing field by providing tools that make complex research analytics — including pricing, scarcity reports, and historic sales data — accessible to every collector, old or new. Our engineering mission is to democratize technology while promoting innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning throughout the organization. We're seeking engineers to utilize advanced technology in agile settings, with a focus on improving the customer experience for every collector.

Our Data team's goal at Collectors is to facilitate the use of trusted data to support key decision making. This is done through the ingestion, processing, and dissemination of relevant data to key cross-departmental stakeholders. The main functions within the team can be split into three major groups: Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Insights & Analytics team to help deliver timely reporting and actionable insights to our fast growing business. You’ll be in a unique position to work with stakeholders across the business and take advantage of your skill sets in stakeholder management, requirements gathering, project management, data visualization, reporting, and insight generation.

You’ll report to the Director of Data Analytics and work from our Santa Ana, CA or Jersey City, NJ office. Remote or hybrid candidates will also be considered. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work from the stakeholder backwards - understanding data and insights requirements, providing recommendations and delivering data products
  • Build, enhance, maintain best-in-class, self-service dashboards & reporting tools that are robust, actionable and designed for stakeholders to easily explore and derive insights independently
  • Perform ad hoc analyses proactively and at the request of cross-functional stakeholders to help answer the business’s pressing questions and needs
  • Build data transformations required for reporting or analysis and investigate new datasets or issues in existing data
  • Train users on our data capabilities and best practices

Who You Are:

  • You have 5+ years of experience working with data to produce actionable insights
  • You have experience with collecting requirements, defining and implementing metrics, managing projects and stakeholders, and delivering regular communications to cross functional teams
  • You have a proven track record of building actionable dashboards and training end users on leveraging them to the full extent
  • You are proficient in SQL and have a strong working knowledge of software engineering workflow tools such as version control and testing
  • You have a proven ability to model data for reporting and analytics needs, or have a very strong understanding of best practices in this area
  • You have experience with “modern data stack” type tools for reporting, data warehousing, data transformation,

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $135,549 - $220,067. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
