About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Operations to join our team at Comun in our New York office. This role reports to the Head of Operations.
What is Business Operations?
At Comun, we are building products, processes, and platforms from scratch to provide easy to use and transparent financial services to a community typically overlooked by the traditional banking sector. To do this, we want to work with cross functional wizards who are comfortable working across functions and teams. Our Business Operations are part Product Managers, part Business Analysts, part Project Managers, and Strategy Advisors, and can work on a wide-range of projects including vendor management, product and platforms development, operational excellence and performance improvement initiatives.

What you’ll do:

As a crucial member of our startup team, you'll have the unique chance to shape and establish numerous processes and strategies. This role offers ample room for growth and encourages a proactive approach, giving you the chance to take ownership and oversee projects in various functions. Your drive and ambition will be key to unlocking exciting opportunities within Comun. Some of the areas you’ll be working on include:
Strategy: Develop and execute a roadmap based on company priorities and limited resources, assessing tradeoffs and adapting as necessary
Operations: Design processes that scale, bringing in-house outsourced processes, constantly look to improve the customer experience throughout the customer journey while improving the business unit economics
Vendor Management: Work with vendors across fraud, customer support, card logistics, and other SaaS vendors to secure the best contracts and leverage their capabilities, and migrate from one vendor to another as needed, or look for new ones
Product: Work closely with the product managers and the engineering team to inform product prioritization and improvement and work on technical projects as needed

You are:

Strategic Thinker: You can see the big picture and align product and operational goals with company strategy. You make data-driven decisions that balance short-term wins with long-term vision.
Customer-Centric: You always make strategic decisions with the end user in mind, and seek to optimize their experience in everything that you do.
Collaborative Leader: You build strong relationships across teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring all voices are heard. You excel in managing project stakeholders and timelines through clear and effective communication.
Results-Oriented: You have a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. You set measurable success metrics and continuously seek ways to improve product and operations performance.
Innovative Problem Solver: You thrive in ambiguity and can bring clarity to complex situations. You use creative thinking and relevant frameworks to develop innovative solutions to challenging problems.
Data-Driven: You independently navigate datasets to draw actionable insights. You use data to prioritize and advocate for product and operational improvements that drive business outcomes.
Adaptable and Resilient: You are flexible and can quickly adapt to changing priorities. You see setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow, displaying resilience in the face of challenges.
Owner: You show passion and care for your work and the company's trajectory. You set ambitious personal and professional goals, bringing energy and dedication to your role.
Resourceful: You can figure out solutions independently and leverage your network to employ best practices. You are constantly seeking ways to uplevel and raise the bar for yourself and the team.
