Digital Brand Strategy Manager

About the Role:
We’re seeking a highly-motivated and visionary Digital Brand Strategy Manager to build Comun’s online brand for Spanish-speaking immigrants in the U.S. This is your chance to build a digital brand from scratch!
As our Digital Brand Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for crafting Comun’s social media and content strategy and deploying it across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. The expectation is that you’re willing to get your hands dirty and brainstorm, film, edit, and post the content yourself.
This role will be a core member of the Growth team, so we are looking for someone that understands trends and how to engage people, but also how social media advances business metrics.
You can consider yourself the “architect” of Comun’s digital presence, so you will also be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, scaling, and retaining influencers that are aligned with our brand and motivated by our mission.
What you’ll do:
Define and lead the vision for Social at Comun: You’ll define what “great” looks like. You’ll come up with a broad social media and content strategy and metrics to measure the impact. We love seeing those metrics go up and to the right! But more than that, it’s about who we’re reaching, not just how many.
Translate and build our brand online: Take charge of Comun’s online presence, translating our brand identity into the most-beloved Spanish-first brand. This is your chance to shape a brand from the ground up.
Content creation: We’re looking for a self starter who can concept, develop, produce and edit engaging content that resonates with our audience across key channels including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Manage influencer partnerships: You are Comun’s online brand architect and will be responsible for sourcing and collaborating with influencers that align with our brand, overseeing their content to ensure it aligns with our vision.
Keep your finger on the pulse of internet culture: Be aware of the latest trends and memes relevant to our business and our target customers. Our customers are mostly Spanish-speaking immigrants, so you’ll need to learn what content they engage with and then, make even more engaging content for Comun :)
You are:
You like to challenge the status quo and redefine traditional marketing. You deeply understand current digital trends, but you’re inspired by the concept of “stealing like an artist” and are motivated by the challenge of creating fresh and exciting content.
Your role is pivotal in bringing our fintech brand, serving Hispanic immigrants, to life. You're an instinctive storyteller and are skilled at crafting compelling content that resonates with this unique, hardworking community.
Requirements:
A desire to get your hands dirty and build something from scratch.
Fluency in Spanish. Our content is Spanish-first, so it’s important you’re able to generate content in this language.
2-5 years social media experience at a major brand or creator account with a proven track record of growing a brand following on social media platforms.
You have a robust video portfolio showcasing both long and short-form content that you’ve created. You’re adept with in-app creator tools across social platforms and proficient in video editing software like Adobe Premiere
You bring scrappy design skills to the table. You have experience with creating visual assets (photography, video, motion graphics) and can point to projects where you made the content yourself.
Passion for engaging with our social media communities
You either live in NYC or are willing to relocate. We are also open to sponsoring visas for the right candidate!
A sense of humor. We believe the content that generates most with our customers is content that makes them laugh. We don’t mind if you make us laugh in the office either.

Since launching our own bank infra last November we've 40x'd revenue and crossed $1B in annual payments volume. We currently offer banking and remittances solutions, and will launch more products this year.

This is an in-person role for our office in Flatiron.
