As a Senior Product Researcher, you will be the voice of our users, championing their needs internally across product, design, engineering, and marketing. You will join a growing product strategy practice and help shape how DailyPay thinks about user-centered design at scale.

About The Role

As a Senior Product Researcher, you will be the voice of our users, championing their needs internally across product, design, engineering, and marketing. You will join a growing product strategy practice and help shape how DailyPay thinks about user-centered design at scale.

What You'll Do
- Champion the voices of DailyPay users across product, design, engineering, and marketing teams
- Design, conduct, and synthesize qualitative research including in-depth interviews, in-field ethnography, diary studies etc.
- Design and develop quantitative research to validate or disconfirm qualitative insights
- Identify new product opportunities grounded in user needs, market trends, and behavioral signals, especially on mobile surfaces
- Develop personas, behavioral archetypes, customer journeys, and service blueprints to help teams empathize with users and spot opportunities
- Help product teams reframe ideas into testable hypotheses
- Prototype and plan concept tests with users across key product flows
- Lead multidisciplinary workshops to synthesize insights and ideate new solutions
- Participate in user-centered design sprints with cross-functional teams
- Promote design thinking methodology throughout the organization
- Contribute to building and evolving DailyPay's product research capabilities
- 6+ years of experience in Product Research, UX Research, or Design Strategy — preferably in a startup or high-growth environment
- Postgraduate qualification (Masters or higher) in Design, HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field, or equivalent experience building mobile products with large or hard-to-reach userbases in regulated industries like Finance or Healthcare.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Psychology, Computer Science, Engineering, HCI, or a relevant field
- A notable portfolio that demonstrates finding novel user insights and translating them into shipped product features
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven track record of influencing stakeholders across product, design, and engineering
- Fluency in both qualitative and quantitative methods, with strong instincts for when to use each
- Experience with online research and recruiting platforms such as usertesting, dScout, validately etc.
- Experience in consumer fintech, financial wellness, or adjacent domains is a strong plus
- Experience working with research agencies
- Ability to move between strategic framing and hands-on execution without losing either
