Position Summary

The 5-month co-op internship program provides an opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to begin a successful career in audit.  As a co-op participant in Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice, you'll experience the auditing profession from a real-world perspective.  You’ll get in-depth exposure to the auditing profession and learn more about the day-to-day responsibilities of an auditor.  You’ll receive guidance and work closely with experienced audit professionals, as well as have the opportunity to participate in networking activities. You’ll have exposure to issues shaping and affecting the profession today as well as topics related to your own career development. Your counselor will serve as a vital source of information and advice, offering timely, constructive feedback on your performance.

Work you’ll do

During your co-op experience, you will participate in a 5-month immersive ‘on-the job’ learning and development program, while being integrated into the local marketplace with support and oversight from the local office.  You will be deployed to a variety of teams and experiences that will allow you develop different skills, which will be enhanced by training materials for strategically selected skill domains.

The successful co-op participant will have:

• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Proven experience working independently and managing multiple assignments in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

Required:

• Enrollment in Baruch College “BUS 5000 - Independent Study BUS I” course (Professional Development for Business Co-op)
• Junior level student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

• Junior level student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Strong academic record, minimum GPA of 3.0
