Work you’ll do
As part of the Controllership, Financial Reporting Record to Report team, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing an assessment of current state Controllership processes, identifying pain points and gaps to desired target state and leading practice, and preparing roadmaps for transformation
- Developing solution hypothesis for challenges and pain points identified using the people, process, technology, and governance levers
- Applying relevant specialized accounting, regulatory or compliance standards
- Deploying improvements to finance data model, cost transparency, , financial close and consolidation, financial operations and reporting
- Delivering work using leading edge tooling and accelerators
- Managing day-to-day relationships
- Generating innovative ideas to challenge the status quo and improve our delivery methods
- Participating in engagement planning and budgeting; defining the work product structure and content; managing engagement economics, engagement risk and engagement timeline
- Contributing to the proposal development process
- Engaging in recruiting and retention activities
The Team
Our Controllership and Treasury Transformation offering modernizes the finance function to align with the evolving business objectives of organizations. We collaborate with CFOs, CAOs, controllers, and treasurers to develop an efficient, high-quality, data-driven, and tech-enabled controllership and treasury function. This empowers our clients to deliver greater value to their business partners and investors.
Qualifications
Required:
• 3-5 years of technical or advisory-related experience in entity and enterprise accounting, finance transformation, technical and/or operational accounting, financial planning and analysis and cost accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Risk Management, Economics or related field.
• CPA, CIA, CFA, CA, CCA, CMA, CAIA or FRM certification, or working towards achieving one of these certifications.
• Experience delivering work with automation (e.g., building Alteryx workflows, leveraging M365 copilot)
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and SEC rules and regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
• Master's degree in Business, Systems or Accounting
• Capabilities in operational and financial internal controls, including work related to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
• Experience as a user of or administrator of a common ERP Finance and Reporting package (SAP, Oracle, Workday, JDE, etc)
• Project experience in areas such as process mapping, root cause/gap analysis/best fit, requirements gathering / definition development, financial modeling and value mapping

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,700-218,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
