Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. From strategy to execution, this team delivers integrated, end-to-end support and advisory services covering valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability. Work alongside clients every step of the way, helping them navigate new challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and provide practical solutions at every stage of their journey—before, during, and after any major transformational projects or transactions.

Work You’ll Do

Tech strategy professionals will serve as trusted advisors to our clients, working with them to make clear data-driven choices about where to play and how to win - driving growth and enterprise value. Our specialists work with enterprise leaders to help them shape and execute robust strategies that enable them to navigate the most consequential technology choices – whether platforms, engineered solutions, infrastructure, or operating models. Tech strategy managers develop technology strategies to increase a company's profitability, catalyze growth, and ultimately deliver value across the stakeholder set. You will determine the platforms to adopt, the architectures to build, the ways of working to change, and the capabilities improvements required to operate at efficient scale. Managers craft quality deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships - whether on a small engagement or as part of a larger transformation. When not serving clients, tech strategy managers participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. Tech Strategy Managers:

  • Possess strong program management skills,
  • Exhibit a passion for technology and continuous learning to keep pace with the accelerating change across multiple technologies and solutions
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possess ability to influence others, lead teams, and mentor junior staff
  • Have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

  • Aligning technology investments with commercial ambitions to drive enterprise value
  • Developing fit-for-purpose operating models balanced between platform, product, and engineering centricity
  • Applying AI to reinvent the enterprise, from productivity to revenue growth
  • Transforming IT operations and financial management to improve spend, performance, and resilience
  • Upskilling your talent to adopt digital and AI solutions at scale and speed

Qualifications Required:

· 6+ years of management consulting experience focused on technology strategy and technology transformation

· 6+ years of experience:

o Crafting and implementing strategies for growth and technology transformation at the corporate, business, or product level

o Using analytical methods and tools to create project analysis and recommendation support

· 4+ years of experience

o Creating client-ready materials, including roadmaps, presentations (PowerPoint), business case, business process, and technology transformation plans, etc.

o Managing and delivering large, complex technology engagements (minimum of 2 full life cycle implementation) and critical programs

o Leading a team and influencing others

· Must have participated in 4 or more projects involving:

o Technology strategy definition / IT Strategy, cloud strategy, platform strategy, vendor selection (e.g., service providers, software providers, ERP platforms), IT cost optimization and effectiveness, IT service delivery and technology outsourcing advisory, technology capability and skillset assessments (current and future state), digital transformation architecture blueprinting and roadmaps, digital technology spend optimization, IT transformation roadmap development, IT service management assessment, data management strategy and architecture, IT process and tool deployment, IT governance, operating model and delivery model assessment, IT financial management analysis (e.g. dashboards, charge-back model, and enterprise and solution architecture

· Process Frameworks: IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), ISO 20000, COBiT.

· ITIL: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement and the processes in each of these five lifecycle phases.

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record

· Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

· Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

· Undergraduate degree with focus on Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology, Systems Engineering or equivalent

· Advanced degree in business (i.e., MBA) or area of specialization

· 6+ years of experience leading technology issues and trends, including the associated business implications within one or more industries

· 6+ years of experience in the consulting services sales pursuit & proposal process

· 6+ years of experience with Scenario Planning/Modeling

· Knowledge of or experience in broader G&A functions (i.e., HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Commercial Operations)

· Basic understanding of the core digital technologies that underpin world class customer experiences (e.g., CRM, E-Commerce, Content Management)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $144,200 to $265,600.
