Working with our Global Payroll and Workforce Management Team means you will be working with our clients to advise on global strategies to implement and operate the modern Payroll and Workforce Management solutions needed to the workforce of the future.

Work You’ll do:

As a Payroll Advisory Consultant, you should expect to be involved in the following:

  • Support client engagements focused on improving payroll operations, selecting and implementing enabling technology, and strengthening governance, compliance, and service delivery. You should expect to be involved in the following:
  • Assessing current-state payroll and workforce management processes, identifying pain points, risks, and optimize opportunities
  • Supporting technology strategy and selection by contributing to market scans, requirements, vendor demos, RFIs/RFPs, evaluation scoring, and recommendations
  • Helping define future-state processes and operating models, including controls, roles and responsibilities, service delivery, and escalation paths
  • Contributing to implementation lifecycle activities, such as business analysis, functional design/specifications, configuration support, testing support (SIT/UAT), and deployment readiness
  • Developing client-ready deliverables (e.g., process maps, requirements, decision frameworks, RAID logs, status updates, and executive-ready presentations)
  • Collaborating with global, cross-functional teams to solve complex payroll challenges for top brands and global organizations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in Payroll and/or Workforce Management functions and processes
  • 2+ years of experience supporting global payroll (e.g., multi-country, multi-entity, multi-vendor)
  • 2+ years of experience in external consulting or a comparable client-facing advisory role
  • 2+ years of experience supporting requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder meetings (planning, facilitation support, documentation)
  • Exposure to at least one payroll/workforce management platform such as ADP, Dayforce, UKG, Workday, Oracle Cloud, Infor CloudSuite, SAP/SuccessFactors (or similar)
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on client needs
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Experience as an industry payroll professional (e.g., payroll operations, shared services, or HR/finance operations)
  • 2+ years of Exposure to payroll controls, compliance, audits, or governance in regulated environments

The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,400 to $155,400.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
